The Role
- Collaborate with UX, Product, and Engineering to architect elegant APIs and Data Models
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve developer productivity and improve quality
- Define and direct team in the area of Performance, Scalability, and Security
- Proficient in designing highly tuned and efficient automated build pipelines
- Mentor junior developers, including code and design reviews
- Pilot new initiatives to keep our technology stack ahead of the curve Technical support: Our engineers don't just release code in the wild. When our customers have issues, we have to jump in and give them help
If the qualifications and responsibilities below are “no sweat” for you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years of software development experience with modern Java stack: Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate ORM, JPA, JDBC,
- Extensive experience with database technologies both SQL and NoSQL
- Must have a good sense of engineering tradeoffs, within the contexts of extendibility, scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Experience with OO design and design patterns
- Comfortable working on a Unix environment
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience with Messaging Systems like RabbitMQ, Redis Pub/Sub etc.
- Experience with PHP and Symfony ,
- Interest in DevOps and cloud infrastructure,
