T

Transition Risk

Transition risk is the financial risk an organisation faces from the shift to a low-carbon economy — arising from policy, technology, market and reputational change, rather than from the physical effects of climate change itself.

Regulation & Compliance

Türkiye Emissions Trading System

The Türkiye Emissions Trading System (Türkiye ETS) is the national carbon market established under Climate Law No. 7552; it imposes allowance, monitoring-reporting-verification, and surrender obligations on covered industrial and energy installations, beginning with a 2026–2027 pilot phase.

Regulation & Compliance

Türkiye Green Taxonomy

The Türkiye Green Taxonomy is Türkiye's national classification of environmentally sustainable economic activities. Still in draft, it is set to become the reference standard for the green asset ratio, replacing the EU Taxonomy currently used.

Sustainable Finance

Türkiye Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS)

TSRS are the Türkiye Sustainability Reporting Standards — mandatory sustainability disclosure standards issued by the Public Oversight Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority (KAP) that require listed companies and financial institutions in Türkiye to disclose material sustainability-related risks and opportunities and climate-related information, substantially aligned with the ISSB's IFRS S1 and S2 standards.

Regulation & Compliance

TURQUALITY®

TURQUALITY® is Türkiye's state-supported branding programme, run by the Ministry of Trade, that helps Turkish companies build and internationalise their brands with financial and advisory support. It runs in parallel to — and can be combined with — the Responsible Programme.

Regulation & Compliance

U

UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is the world's largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative, asking companies to align with Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and to report progress each year.

Unique Product Identifier

A unique identifier that links a physical product to its Digital Product Passport. Under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), each product model, batch or individual item is assigned an identifier that is encoded in a data carrier (such as a QR code) and resolves to the product's passport record.

Regulation & Compliance

Use of Proceeds

Use of proceeds is the defining commitment of a green, social or sustainability bond — that the capital raised will be allocated exclusively to eligible projects described in the issuer's framework, tracked internally, and reported on after issuance.
