What is the Scope of the Carbon Footprint?
Scope 1: Direct greenhouse gas emissions are emissions coming from sources owned or controlled by the reporting organization.
Scope 2: Indirect greenhouse gas emissions are emissions an organization causes indirectly when the energy it purchases or uses is produced.
Scope 3: Other indirect greenhouse gas emissions are all emissions that do not fall into Scope 2. Scope 3 emissions are not produced by the company itself; they are emitted up and down its value chain. 34% of carbon footprint calculations are made within Scope 3, which is calculated voluntarily.

How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint?
Semtrio’s consultancy does not only include calculation and reporting; it offers a holistic approach with solutions to reduce your carbon footprint. In principle, we do not believe that a sustainability consultancy company that has not zeroed its own carbon footprint can offer effective solutions to its customers, so we have started to reduce our own carbon footprint.
